Welcome to the celebration of the Daily TV Mass. I'm Father John Burteo. The television of this Mass is made possible by the contributions from three donors. The first are anonymous donors from Toronto, Ontario, for the living and deceased members of their family, in thanksgiving for blessings received, for good health, and for the holy souls in purgatory. The second is Marie Enloquie Macias from El Paso, Texas, in loving memory of her mother Katie J. Burland, who died on February 23, 2026. May her soul and the souls of the faithful departed rest in peace. Amen. The third is Jovita Lim from Scarborough, Ontario, in thanksgiving for the many blessings and graces received by her family in Canada, the United States, and the Philippines, and for the continued good health and protection of all relatives, friends, and members of the Scarborough, Ontario Seniors Association. Our thanks to our donors for the gift of this Mass that we begin with the sign of our salvation in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Spirit be with you all. And with our Spirit. Brothers and sisters, let us acknowledge our sins and so prepare ourselves to celebrate the sacred mysteries. And please join us if you can. I confess and to you, my brothers and sisters, that I have greatly sinned in my thoughts and in my words, in what I have done and what I have failed to do. Through my fault, through my fault, through my most grievous fault. Therefore, I ask, Blessed Mary of the Virgin, all the angels and saints, and you, my brothers and sisters, to pray for me to the Lord our God. May Almighty God have mercy on us, forgive us our sins, and bring us to everlasting life. Lord have mercy. Christ have mercy. Lord have mercy. Let us pray. Attend to the pleas of your people in heavenly care. O Lord, we pray, that they may see what must be done and gain strength to do what they have seen. Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God for ever and ever. Amen.

A reading from the Book of Sirach. Elijah arose, a prophet like fire, and his word burned like a torch. He brought a famine upon them, and by his zeal he made them few in number. By the word of the Lord he shut up the heavens, and also three times brought down fire. How glorious you were, Elijah, in your wondrous deeds, whose glory is equal to yours. You raised a corpse from death and from Hades by the word of the Most High. You sent kings down to destruction, and famous men from their sick beds. You heard rebuke at Sinai, and judgments of vengeance at Horeb. You anointed kings to inflict retribution, and prophets to succeed you. You were taken up by a whirlwind of fire, in a chariot with horses of fire. At the appointed time it is written, You are destined to calm the wrath of God before it breaks out in fury, to turn the hearts of parents to their children, and to restore the tribes of Jacob. Happy are those who saw you and were adorned with your love, for we also shall surely live. When Elijah was enveloped in the whirlwind, Elisha was filled with his spirit. He performed twice as many signs, and marvels with every utterance of his mouth. Never in his lifetime did he tremble before any ruler, nor could anyone intimidate him at all. Nothing was too hard for him, and when he was dead his body prophesied. In his life he did wonders, and in death his deeds were marvelous.

The Word of the Lord Let the just rejoice in the Lord. Let the earth rejoice, let the many coarse lands be glad. Cloud and thick darkness are all abroad. Righteousness and justice are the foundation of his throne. Let the just rejoice in the law Fargo's before him and consumes his adversaries on every side. Let the justice in the law.

Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors, and do not bring us to the time of trial, but rescue us from the evil one. For if you forgive others their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive others, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses. The Gospel of the Lord. Do you believe that God's word, that is, the gospel, has the power to change and transform our lives today and every day? Isaiah says that God's word is like the rain and melting snow, which makes the barren ground spring to life and become abundantly fertile. God's word has power to penetrate our dry, barren hearts and make them springs of new life. If we let God's word take root in our heart, it will transform us into the likeness of God Himself and empower us to walk in His way and love and holiness. So, how can this be done? God wants His Word to guide and shape us the way we think, act, and pray, always, always keeping Him in focus no matter what.

Ambrose, an early church father and bishop of Milan, wrote that the reason we should devote time for the reading of the Bible is to hear Christ speak to us. What a beautiful expression. To hear Christ speak to us in the Bible. It's a the quote from St. Ambrose, he also states, Are you occupied with Christ? Why then do you not talk to him more often if you love him that much? In other words, by reading scriptures, we listen to Christ speaking to us. In doing this, listening and reading scripture, we can approach God confidently because he is waiting with arms wide open to receive his prodigal children at any time that they ask. This is why Jesus gave his disciples a perfect prayer that dares to call God our Father. This prayer teaches us how to ask God for the things we really need, the things that matter not only for the present but for eternity as well. We can approach God our Father with confidence and boldness because the Lord Jesus opened the way to heaven for us through his death and resurrection. Just think, just think. When we ask God for help, he fortunately does not give us what we deserve. Instead, God responds with grace, mercy, and loving kindness. See, God is good and forgiving toward us and expects us to treat others the same way. Very key. Treat others the same way that God treats us. And then St. Paul writes that God has poured his love into our hearts through the gift of the Holy Spirit who has been given to us. And get this: that love is like a refining fire. It purifies and burns away all prejudice, all hatred, resentment, vengeance, and bitterness until there is nothing left in us but goodness and forgiveness toward us, especially those who harm us in any way, mentally or physically. Imagine forgiving others totally, just like Jesus did on the cross. And another Saint, Saint John Casson, who lived in the fifth century, stated that, and I quote, the mercy of God is beyond description. While he is offering us the model of prayer, he is teaching us a way of life whereby we can be pleasing to him by sight. But that's not all. God gives us the possibility of ourselves mitigating the sentence hanging over and compelling him to pardon us, for example, just to make it easier, hopefully, for us for us to understand. What else could he do in the face of generosity when we ask him to forgive us as we have forgiven others from the heart? Sincere forgiveness. And the saint continues: if we are faithful in prayer, each of us will ask forgiveness from our from our own failings after we have forgiven the sins of those who have sinned against us. Not only those who have sinned against us, but also those who offend God as well. So, community prayer. Pray for one another. In fact, God continues to forgive us, to love us, and to give us the courage always. And this prayer is just so special, just it covers so much of our own lives. If we prayed every single day, in the morning, in the afternoon, in the evening, whenever it might be. See, in short, anyone who has not forgiven from the bottom of their heart the person he has done him wrong, or somehow hurt them mentally or physically, will only obtain from this prayer his own condemnation, rather any mercy, and that is also from St. Casson, and not my words, St. Casson himself. After this short explanation, I leave you with a question. Do you do you treat others the way that they deserve to be treated? Or do you treat them as the Lord treats you the way you want the Lord to treat you? God doesn't punish, God loves. And that's what we should do as well. See, we should have mercy, we should have steadfast love and kindness. Yes. You might be saying, Oh, Father John, it's easier to say than it is to do. Absolutely. Good things usually are easier to say than to do, but it's worth it. It could be difficult at times, but very much worth it. It lets you live in peace and in tranquility with the world. Just think how much peace there would be in families, how much peace would be in you to live free, to live without guilt. And imagine if more people practice this, maybe, maybe, just maybe, we wouldn't have any worse. What a beautiful world it would be. Let me leave you with a special prayer. Father in heaven, you have given me a mind to know you, a will to serve you, and a heart to love you. Give me the grace and strength to embrace your holy will and to fill my heart with your love, that all my intentions and actions may be pleased into you. Give me the grace to be charitable in thought, kind, in deed, and loving in speech toward everyone. Amen. Our prayer intentions for this month of June is for all of those in Adelaide TV Mass Intentions book. We pray to the Lord.

SPEAKER_05

Lord, hear our prayer.

SPEAKER_01

During this month of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, let us pray for healing in families, that Christ's mercy may renew our hearts and restore our relationships. We pray to the Lord.

SPEAKER_04

Lord, hear our prayer.

SPEAKER_01

For the courage to forgive others that we want to be forgiven, and of course, with Mary's help, it's always possible. Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord sees me. Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen. Our Lady of Peace, pray forever. Blessed are you, Lord God of all creation. For if you're going to receive the bread we offer you, fruit of the earth and work of human hands, it will become for us the bread of life.

SPEAKER_05

Blessed be God forever.

SPEAKER_01

Through the mystery of this water and wine, may we come to share in the Trinity of Christ, who humble themselves to share in our humanity. Blessed are you, Lord God of all creation. For if you are going to receive the wine we offer you, free to the vine and work of human hands, it will become our spiritual drink.

SPEAKER_04

Blessed be God forever.

SPEAKER_01

Lord, wash for my iniquity and cleanse me from my sins.

unknown

Thank you.

SPEAKER_01

Pray, brothers and sisters, that my sacrifice and yours be acceptable to God, the Almighty Father.

SPEAKER_00

Our Lord, have a sacrifice at your hands for the praise and glory of his name, for our good and for all his holy church.

SPEAKER_01

May your people's oblation, O Lord, find favor with you, we pray, that it may restore them to holiness and obtain what they devoutly entreat through Christ our Lord. Amen. The Lord be with you and with your spirit. Lift up your hearts. We lift them up, let us give thanks to the Lord our God. It is really right and just our duty and our salvation, always in every word to give you thanks, Lord, Holy Father, Almighty Eternal God. For just as through your beloved Son, you created the human race, so also through him with great goodness you formed it anew. And so it is right that all your creatures serve you, all the redeemed praise you, and all your saints with one heart bless you. Therefore we too exalt you with all the angels, as in joyful celebration we acclaim.

SPEAKER_03

Holy, holy, holy Lord God of hosts. Heaven and earth are full of your glory. Hosanna in the highest Hosanna, the city is he who comes in the name of the Lord. Hosanna in the highest.

SPEAKER_01

Make holy therefore these gifts, we pray, by sending down your spirit upon them like the dew fall, so that they may become for us the body and blood of our Lord Jesus Christ. At the time he was betrayed and entered willingly into his passion, he took bread, and giving thanks broke it, and gave it to his disciples, saying, Take this, all of you, and eat of it. For this is my body, which will be given up for you. In a similar way, when supper was ended, he took the chalice, and once more giving thanks, he gave it to his disciples, saying, Take this, all of you, and drink from it. For this is the chalice of my blood, the blood of the new and eternal covenant, which will be poured out for you and for many for the forgiveness of sins. Do this in memory of me.

SPEAKER_03

When we despred and drink this cup, we proclaim your death, O Lord, until you come again.

SPEAKER_01

Therefore, as we celebrate the memorial of his death and resurrection, we offer you, Lord, the bread of life and the child of salvation, giving thanks that you help us worthy to be in your presence and minister to you. How we pray that by taking the body and blood of Christ we may be gathered into one by the Holy Spirit. Remember, Lord, your church spread throughout the world and bring it to the fullness of charity. Together with Leo, our Pope, Francis, our bishop, and all the clergy. Remember also our brothers and sisters who have fallen asleep in the hope of the resurrection, and all who have died in your mercy, welcome them into the light of your face. Have mercy on us all, we pray, that with the blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of God, with the blessed Joseph, our spouse, with the blessed apostles, and all the saints you please you throughout the ages, we may merit to be co-heres to eternal life, and may praise and glorify you through your Son, Jesus Christ. Through him and with him and in him. O God Almighty Father, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, all glory and honor is yours for ever and ever. Amen. At the Savior's command, and formed by divine teaching, and from the heart, we dare to say, Our Father, who art in heaven, how be thy name, thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Deliver us, Lord, we pray from every evil. Graciously grant peace in our days, that by the help of your mercy we may be always free from sin and safe from all distress, as we wait to bless it hope and the coming of our Savior, Jesus Christ. Now and forever. Lord Jesus Christ, you say to your apostles, peace I leave you, my peace I give you. Look not on our sins, but on the faith of your church. And grace, you know, peace and unity in accordance with your will, live and reign forever and ever. Amen. The peace of the Lord be with you always. That beautiful time of the Mass when we share peace with others, and we pray that it comes back to us as well. Peace for everyone so that we can live in great, great peace in union with our Lord Jesus Christ. Let's share with one another a Son of Christ's peace. Behold the Lamb of God, behold him who takes away the sins of the world. Blessed are those called to the supper of the Lamb. Lord, I'm not with you that you should enter the Nyark, but only say the word, and thy soul shall be healed. Anybody of Christ means everlasting life.

SPEAKER_02

I love you above all things, and I passionately desire to receive you into my soul. Since I cannot now receive you sacramentally, come spiritually into my soul, so that I may unite myself wholly to you now and forever. Amen.

SPEAKER_01

Humble, we ask you, Almighty God, be graciously pleased to grant that those you have renewed with your sacraments may also serve with lives with lives pleasing to you through Christ our Lord. The Lord be with you. And with your spirit. Our Mass has been celebrated, go forth in the peace and love of Christ.

SPEAKER_05

Thanks, be to God.

SPEAKER_02

Our thanks to our donors for the gift of this Mass.
